Search “Tachiyomi” today and half the results talk about it like it’s still getting updates. It isn’t. The rest lump Mihon, TachiyomiSY, TachiyomiJ2K, and random alternatives into one pile and call it all “Tachiyomi.” That’s not accurate, and it’s why so many people end up more confused after reading five articles than before.

We’re here to fix that. tachiyomiapk.cc explains what Tachiyomi actually is now, what replaced it, and how to get your setup — reader, extensions, backups — working. No history lesson padded to hit a word count. Just the answer.

What we do

We track the whole ecosystem, not one app in isolation. When Mihon changes something, or a repository moves, we update the page instead of letting it rot.

We also don’t blur entities for convenience. Not every reader is a “Tachiyomi fork.” Not every repository is official just because it’s widely linked. If we call something official, it is.

We cover iOS and desktop too — not everyone searching “Tachiyomi” is on Android.

Why this site exists

Most of what’s out there hasn’t caught up. Tutorials describe menus that no longer exist. Comparisons treat Mihon and TachiyomiSY as interchangeable. Troubleshooting guides say “reinstall the app” without checking whether the real problem is the extension, the repository, or the source site underneath it.

That layered structure — reader, repository, extension, source — is the part almost nobody explains properly. We got tired of watching people reinstall an app when the actual issue was a source that changed on the other end.

Who’s behind this

Hussnain runs the site. He’s followed the Tachiyomi and Mihon ecosystem since the original project stopped getting updates — the migration, the extension repositories, the same backup headaches most former Tachiyomi users eventually hit.

Every page gets checked against the project’s own GitHub or docs before it’s published — not against what another article said last year. More on Hussnain

What’s different here

We verify before we publish. Version status, maintenance status, repository legitimacy — confirmed against the source, not assumed.

We don’t blur entities. Mihon isn’t “Tachiyomi renamed.” A fork isn’t the same as an unrelated alternative.

Every platform gets a real answer. Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux — including when the honest answer is “nothing exists for this yet.”

Troubleshooting goes top to bottom. App, repository, extension, source — in that order, so you’re not reinstalling the whole reader over one broken source.

Where we stand on trust

This site covers open-source reader software — setup, extensions, migration, backups, safety. It’s not built around pirated content, and we won’t call a random APK mirror safe just because it’s popular.

Official sources get pointed to directly. Third-party ones get labeled before you install them, not after.
